"This tea is even better than the one in Holland that got me hooked on licorice tea! It's very strong, so a little goes a long way. It's very different...interesting tea."

"Naturally sweet and soothing. I add a little licorice root instead of sugar to sweeten my teas!. Endless blending possibilities. Great for a sore throat!"

"I enjoyed the licorice root a lot more than I thought I would. It is awesome with the peppermint or spearmint teas and also adds some sweetness to the rooibos as well. I ran out quickly!!"

A lovely, versatile tea

"I've tried a number of commercial licorice tea blends, and none come close to this tea.
The sweet, gentle flavor makes for a lovely cup, and also works well blended with other teas. A teaspoon of licorice root added to a strong bergamot oil tea subdues the harsh flavor and makes for a healthy alternative to cream and sugar. A 3:7 blend of licorice root and orange peel, stirred with a cinnamon stick, is also very nice. Finally, an extra strong cup of licorice tea makes the perfect base for a unique and very tasty hot toddy.
The large (5 mm cube) chunks of licorice root sink in hot water, which is ideal for those of us who prefer to make tea without bags or filters. They're also quite tasty on their own; I keep a little dish of them on my desk and occasionally chew on one throughout the day. It's hard to beat natural breath mints at $10 per pound.

"This tea is great if you like licorice, pleasant but subtle taste. I love that the root is in large bits (3-5mm. I chew on them after steeping and noticed they still have a lot of taste so I use one helping for 2 cups sometimes.

"I use a little bit of licorice in my tea instead of sugar. Supposed to help cure a sweet tooth. A little goes along way. Licorice may interfere with blood pressure medication though (not signifigantly) but for most of us it's ok. I really like the flavor of it when mixed with other tea such as rooibus. The benefits of licorice (not the candy) include anti-inflammation, boosts immune system, and antioxident properties, and lots more. Very useful herb. "
