Weak taste, powerful punch

"So when I brewed this tea for the first time, the aroma was so pleasant and made me feel like it was autumn time again. However once taking a sip, I expected both a stronger taste of spice and vanilla; the vanilla flavour was quite weak. About an hour after finishing the cup though, I had quite a bit of energy which is always a good thing. All in all, not bad, but not what I was hoping for either."

"This is just an all around good chai. Definitely a little milder and sweeter than most chai, but you have to expect that given the focus on a vanilla flavor. Great stuff."

Chai Convert

"Years ago, my first experience with Chai tea left me never wanting to taste it again (a sample passed out at a coffee cafe). A sample from Dragonwater tempted me and now this Chai has made me a dedicated convert. The spices are perfectly blended. I prefer mine with milk, but like it w/o, too. For me, it is a lovely accompaniment with dessert, or often simply as a treat that helps mute any craving for sweets. (That makes Chai dieting trick of mine.) "

"The vanilla flavor was very pronounced in this tea, moreso than the spice. Try it with some sugar and cream for a special treat!"

"I like that there is no (or very little?) cinnamon. Another review says: "Chai is usually overpowering to me. This was smooth, creamy and very mildly flavored. Perfect." This is my exact review, as well. My teenage son loves this tea."

Not a usual chai

"The vanilla takes away from the usual strong chai taste. It doesn't have as much as a ginger and cinammon taste. If you're not tied to a specific expectation, this is a very good tea. It's taste is different from what one may expect, but it is not a bad thing in this case."

"This tea is perfect for chai lovers who are not crazy about anise. No, the flavor is not overwhelmingly spicy, but its delicacy is a nice variation. I didn't taste very much vanilla, but I liked the tea very much."

"it is rare, being that i love teas with a creamy texture, however do not like milk/half&half in my tea. This was a pleasant surprise. Like a bit of a spicier chai, but this is definitely worth a try. you'll love it if you're a true chai enthusiast."

"I love brewing this in my dorm because the smell just takes over the room. However, I wish the flavor was stronger all-around."

"I love my chai with milk but at work it's not always available. This is a great compromise. I get the creamy flavor without the milk."
